The station is also conveniently placed within Ljubljana, just next to the city’s center. Even if you arrive in Slovenia by air, this station is where you are likely to end up at some point – that is if you are going to make use of bus or train to reach the charming corners of Slovenia. Young travellers eventually end up booking at the famous hostel Celica, which is very close to the train station. The hostel is known for simple rooms, which were once used as prison cells, thus offering an unforgettable experience. Two-bed cells will cost you about 26€ per head, common bedrooms amount to ~17€ per head if you don’t mind sharing the room, which is what young travellers usually do.

If that is a little bit high for you, do not worry, there is also the largest and cheapest hostel in Ljubljana, Hostel DIC, with only 9€ for shared room and 15€ for private room.
